| Pat Davis, owner of the Stong building on Market Street next door to the Choo Choo, had admired the "Train Mural" and contacted Frances about getting some boards for her building. In October 2003, fifteen Battle Academy fourth and fifth graders gathered to paint larger than life self portraits. The children were asked to have their creations "greet" the viewer. Some are smiling, some are waving, all are interacting with the passing public. This beautiful 700 square foot mural was funded by a private donation and the Chattanooga Choo Choo, and sponsored by Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga. |
